My Family - My Life

Last Saturdy we headed to Kissimmee to spend one night at a hotel that had a waterpark. I was a little skeptical of it since it was very inexpensive and the cost included the water park...there were no additional fees to pay or tickets to purchase. However, I had booked this place because of a suggestion from a friend who had just stayed here three days with her little ones.

When we pulled up it was odd. The place is located in the middle of a has been area near Disney. Everything is old and many things closed down. The hotel itself is situated so far back off the road you don't even see it because in front of it is a large field of unkept grass. It really is odd. Immediatey your mind starts wondering what the inside looks like if the outside is so run down. This picture is from their website and is bit decieving. :)

I breathed a sigh of relief to find that the interior had been remodled and kept up fairly well. The rooms were much better than I expected, even having granite countertops and new furniture. I mean, it was no Hilton, Holiday Inn, Marriott, or Spring Hill Suites mind you....but it was nice enough that you didn't feel like you had to keep your shoes on while walking on the carpet. :)

And then there's the actual waterpark area which was awesome.

Palin's favorite spot was under that green tree at the entrance. We took turns with one of us sitting there with her, while the other one of us went around the lazy river with the older two.

Relaxing at the entrance. :) It was a gradual incline into the water. I think that is why Palin liked it. She could go as deep or as shallow as she wanted, whereas the kids area was just one depth.

The next day we visited the game room. In addition to this fun room, they had another area where there are scheduled supervised activites for kids to do. The parents could drop them off and relax for awhile while the kids played board games, did arts and crafts or watched a movie.

I have decided it would be so fun to do something like this every year to end summer and signal the beginning of school. It was so much fun. Priceless memories.
